Business Development Manager | Apprenticeship Assessment | End-Point Assessment

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Travel: UK-wide
Are you an ambitious business development professional with experience in the apprenticeship, training or education sector? This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of commercial growth, develop strategic partnerships and help shape the future of a growing apprenticeship assessment organisation. Working closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team, you’ll identify new markets, win business and build lasting relationships with employers, training providers and industry stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver business development strategies to drive sustainable growth.
- Identify new markets and opportunities across apprenticeship standards.
- Build relationships with employers, training providers and industry partners.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation through to contract negotiation and onboarding.
- Monitor sales pipelines, forecasts and performance against targets.
- Provide market insight and competitor intelligence to support business strategy.
- Represent the organisation at industry events and networking opportunities.
- Work with internal teams to ensure an excellent customer experience.
About you:
- Proven experience in business development, sales or commercial growth.
- Background in apprenticeships, End-Point Assessment/Apprenticeship Assessment, training or further education.
- Strong industry contacts and a track record of winning new business.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Commercially minded, analytical and confident working with senior stakeholders.
- A full driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Experience in a regulated environment, such as Ofqual, would be advantageous.
