Permanent Business Development Executive - IT & Telecoms
Our client, a reputable IT and Telecoms company located in Wantage, Oxfordshire, is seeking a Permanent Business Development Executive to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing, focusing on the growth and support of the Business Development team. Your primary responsibilities will include managing and maintaining existing customer relationships, generating high-quality leads, and collaborating with your team to achieve set targets and profitable goals. We expect you to provide exceptional sales support by ensuring that all customer queries are addressed in a professional and timely manner, contributing to an elevated customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute the company's sales strategies and achieve established sales quota by identifying business opportunities through account prospecting and profiling.
Assess customer needs and present suitable sales solutions, highlighting the technological and business benefits of new products.
Deliver effective sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective customers, including organizing site visits as necessary.
Prepare accurate sales order paperwork, ensuring it reflects the correct configuration/solution for the customer.
Manage the order process through internal acceptance procedures, ensuring sign-off by Sales and related departments.
Provide timely reporting on activities, including weekly and monthly sales forecasts and sales pipeline status.
Maintain thorough knowledge of company products, technology, and industry trends.
Identify new opportunities, generate leads, and book appointments for the Director of Business Development.
Manage a high-accuracy database to facilitate targeted marketing efforts for new business generation.
Collaborate closely with the marketing team to meet agreed objectives.
Consult with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met effectively.
Contribute to team performance by sharing best practice ideas.
Carry out customer credit checking for prospects and existing customers.
Provide accurate quotations and consult with vendors on pricing and stock availability.
Update customers on stock availability, lead times, and delivery status.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
At least 1-2 years working within a sales environment preferably within an initiative-taking telemarketing role within a similar industry
Excellent telephone skills
High degree of accuracy
Demonstrated ability to prioritise issues
Must be able to deal with technical product information
Ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation
Working Conditions
Must have a full driving license.
