    Bid Coordinator - Didcot

    The Opportunity

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive Bid Coordinator to join a growing and collaborative business support team based at Harwell Campus.

    This role is ideal for someone with previous bid support, proposal coordination, or project administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential.

    Working closely with Business Development and operational teams, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities, coordinating submissions, and supporting the successful delivery of bids and proposals across a range of projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitoring tender portals, frameworks, and online opportunities to identify suitable bids and proposals
    • Supporting the bid qualification and go/no-go decision-making process
    • Assisting with the preparation and coordination of tender submissions and proposal documents
    • Conducting research and compiling information to support high-quality bid responses
    • Formatting, proofreading, and editing documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
    • Supporting the creation of engaging proposal content when required
    • Managing bid deadlines and ensuring timely submission of all documentation
    • Creating and maintaining project plans and schedules using internal systems and software
    • Maintaining organised bid libraries and ensuring documentation is accessible and up to date
    • Tracking bid activity, maintaining records, and supporting analysis of win/loss data
    • Assisting with continuous improvement of bid and proposal processes
    • Working collaboratively with internal teams to support successful project delivery
    • Ensuring compliance with company policies relating to health & safety, security, and environmental procedures

    Skills & Experience

    Essential

    • Previous experience in bid coordination, proposal support, administration, or a similar role
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organisational and time management skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
    • High attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities
    • Confident using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
    • Professional and proactive approach with strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
    • Flexible and adaptable attitude in a busy working environment
    • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths

    Desirable

    • Experience using project scheduling or workflow software such as Monday.com or AccessPlanIt
    • Knowledge of proposal and tender submission portals
    • Experience working within training, learning & development, or professional services environments
    • Project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, APM PFQ, or similar
    • Bid or proposal management qualifications
